Apparently a Catholic college is complaining about fruit sex. No, this is not some new deviant sexual fetish.. rather, a fruit wrapper. I think they’re really a bit too paranoid, but really, what ARE the lemon and green fruits actually doing??

It seems that the military is on the lookout for coke cans ever since the advent of Coke’s new competition to find the Coke can with the GPS transmitter. It seems they are worried that Coke (or some other entity) may eavesdrop. I think that they really need to get used to the idea of embedded transmitters. Who knows how many things in the near future will have RF capabilities that we’ve only dreamed about a few years ago.

I’m starting to get worried about my qualifying examinations for Stanford’s PhD program. It seems like less than half pass the first time. Trust me, I want to pass the first time.. I’ve heard it’s torture to study for them. I’m going to have to find some hardcore study group during the quarter to get myself ready.

Sometimes I wonder if a life of technical work is what I want. I sometimes look longingly at the design side of the world, and dare to think that maybe I could be a part of it. I have had some experience in graphic and web design, but I feel like it’s all the tip of the iceberg, and I will really need to shift gears in order to pursue it (all or nothing!) I guess we’ll see how this quarter pans out at Stanford…
