Box Seats at SBC Park

Waiting

This past weekend I had the privilege of watching the Giants and Yankees play from the box seats at SBC Park. Courtesy of GigaOM, Joanne and I got to live up the high roller life at the ballpark. We joked that since this was my first time at SBC Park, I’ll claim that I’ll only go if it’s box seats. Of course, we both brought our cameras to document the experience.

In short, it’s definitely nice if you’re in the box. An assortment of food and beers are served to you throughout the game. The view is fantastic, and the usual crowded stadium seemed far away. Inside the box, you’ll find couches, an HDTV, and a computer to surf on. Heck, you could just hang out in the box during the game and have a great time. Our special wristbands also allowed us to go to the third floor concessions, which are the fancy exclusive indoor vendors.

During the middle of all this, I realized that baseball really isn’t baseball if you’re not down among the crowds where you can buy peanuts and hotdogs from the walking vendors, listen to the children laugh, shoulder your way through the crowds, and hope to catch a fly ball. That’s when we decided to take a stroll around the ballpark and enjoy the crowds.

But, after having enough of that, we retired to our comfortable box to lazily enjoy the game.
